DESCRIPTION:Ankündigung des Promotionsvortrags von: Frau Anniela Meli
ssa Rodriguez Zarate In the last 15 years\, quantum field theory and g
eneral relativity have been remarkably confirmed\, earning recognition
through several Nobel Prizes. Yet singular spacetimes challenge gener
al rela-tivity: as spacetime curvature blows up\, quantum effects can
no longer be ignored\, motivating the search for a consistent theory o
f quantum gravity. My research lies precisely at the interface between
gravity and quantum theory and aims to sys-tematically address quanti
sation ambiguities through renormalisation. In this talk\, I will pres
ent the Hamiltonian renormalisation programme\, a non-perturbative and
background-independent frame-work that combines ideas from constructi
ve quantum field theory\, multi-resolution analysis\, and wavelet theo
ry. The main focus of the presentation will be the application of this
framework to the U(1)^3 model of (3+1)-dimensional Euclidean quantum
gravity\, which can be viewed as the weak-Newton-coupling limit of loo
p quantum gravity. I will introduce the central ideas behind the renor
malisation pro-gramme\, describe the construction of the renormalisati
on flow\, and present the main results ob-tained during my doctoral re
search\, discussing their implications for the resolution of quantisat
ion ambiguities in loop quantum gravity.
