Biology
FAU’s Department of Biology conducts research on interactions at biological interfaces and their effects on organisms and their environment. The department employs state-of-the-art methods in microscopy and imaging, cell and molecular biology, analytical chemistry, and genomics, as well as computer-aided simulations. The insights gained from this research make an important contribution to our understanding of complex biological systems and enable progress in socially relevant fields such as medicine, sustainable agriculture, and climate adaptation.
