Former students, graduates and employees of the Faculty of Sciences can stay in touch with their university via the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg’s alumni network. In addition to contact opportunities with former graduates, the alumni network also offers career and further education events for students, doctoral candidates and graduates.

FAU Community

FAU Community offers all alumni the opportunity to stay in touch with FAU. Here you can find out the latest news about events for alumni, as well as news from science and research at FAU. It is also worthwhile for students, employees, friends and supporters to join the FAU Community and network with the FAU family.

There are also alumni associations for specific Departments at the Faculty of Sciences:

• Fränkische Geographische Gesellschaft e.V.
  The Franconian Geographical Society (FGG) aims to communicate geographical knowledge and university geography research to the interested public. The society organizes a large number of public lectures throughout the year and offers its members access to the library and map collection of the Institute of Geography, whose alumni work it coordinates.
• Verein zur Förderung der Mathematik in Erlangen e.V.
  The Association for the Promotion of Mathematics in Erlangen (VFME) has set itself the goal of intensifying contact between the public and mathematics in Erlangen. The association’s contacts are primarily former students of mathematics.
• Alumni des Fachbereichs Physik der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg e.V.
  The association promotes contact between Physics alumni and maintains the connection between alumni and the Department of Physics. It gives students the opportunity to exchange ideas with alumni in an informal atmosphere and to gain an insight into the world of research and industry. The alumni association also supports the Department of Physics by organizing events and, on special occasions, providing financial support.
