The Chair of Physical Chemistry I (Prof. Dr. Dirk M. Guldi) and the Chair of Materials Science (Materials of Electronics and Energy Technology, Prof. Dr. Christoph Brabec) cordially invite all interested students and (junior) researchers to the Next Generation Solar Energy Conference, which will take place from December 6 – 8th, 2021. The conference on “Concepts to break the Detailed-Balance Limit in Photovoltaics” will take place hybrid in Erlangen and Boulder, USA. All program sessions can also be attended digitally.

Solar photovoltaic technology is already playing an important role in meeting the world’s growing energy demand. Markets for photovoltaics are expected to grow rapidly. Therefore, it is essential to combine environmentally friendly base materials with higher conversion efficiencies at the lowest possible production costs for global deployment.

Therefore, a special feature of the 6th conference is the focus on Latin America (NGSE-LatAm). An educational program will be offered specifically in Spanish, where students and researchers can learn about the latest in photovoltaic technology. NGSE-LatAm will focus on organic, nanostructured and Perovskite photovoltaics, as well as innovative applications and next-generation photovoltaic technology.

Organizers are FAU (Chair of Physical Chemistry I, Chair of Materials for Electronics and Energy Technology, and SAOT), HI ERN, the National Renewable Energy Labs (NREL), and the International Research Training Group “Energy Conversion Systems: From Materials to Devices” (IGK 2495).

There is no charge to attend the conference. Registration is now open at https://www.ngse.info/ .
