Brown Bag Break

Brown bag breaks are informal networking events held during breaks or at lunch and get their name from the USA, where lunches are often packaged in brown paper bags. A sandwich and a piece of fruit provide much-needed vitamins to get the brain cells going again, so why not use your lunch break at the University as an opportunity to network?

Interdisciplinary and international

Under the motto of ‘Networking for hungry researchers’, we invite you to attend a range of brown bag breaks at the faculties including presentations on academic career planning and speed-networking opportunities. They are a great opportunity to form networks beyond your research project. Use the opportunity to get in touch with young researchers from other countries and share ideas beyond subject and national borders.

The events are part of FAU’s research alumni programme and are managed by F3 – Office of Research Strategy (German) and Alumni Management in co-operation with the faculties.
