The Faculty of Sciences consists of six departments
- Department Biologie
- Department Chemie und Pharmazie
- Department Data Science
- Department Geographie und Geowissenschaften
- Department Mathematik
- Department Physik.
In addition, there are several interdisciplinary centers where both basic and applied research is conducted.
The Faculty’s academic programs cover all areas of the natural sciences: Through 14 bachelor’s and 15 master’s programs, 2 state examination programs, and teacher training programs in biology, chemistry, geography, mathematics, and physics, students receive a high-quality education.
Furthermore, the Faculty houses several of the university’s collections, which have developed over the course of FAU’s more than 275-year history.
