The Faculty

The Faculty of Sciences consists of six departments

In addition, there are several interdisciplinary centers where both basic and applied research is conducted.

The Faculty’s academic programs cover all areas of the natural sciences: Through 14 bachelor’s and 15 master’s programs, 2 state examination programs, and teacher training programs in biology, chemistry, geography, mathematics, and physics, students receive a high-quality education.

Furthermore, the Faculty houses several of the university’s collections, which have developed over the course of FAU’s more than 275-year history.
